Dopo Teatro is an enchanting restaurant serving delicious
Italian food in a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere.
 Created
from an 1878 landmark building, the main dining room
at Trattoria Dopo Teatro features a dramatic 24-foot
long antique bar complete with the original brass
railings and mirrors; 20-foot high ceilings with stone
support beams; intricate floor tiling; soft golden-hued
walls; and cozy alcoves. At the bottom of the terra
cotta stairway is The Secret Garden, one of New York
City’s most beautiful interior gardens. A stone
waterfall provides a peaceful backdrop for the sky-lit
center courtyard where hand-painted Italian tiles
carry out elaborate mosaic designs on the floor and
tabletops. Adjoined to the Secret Garden are three
rooms: The Wine Cellar which houses an extensive collection
of fine wines and beautifully carved wooden chairs;
an elegant wood-paneled Grappa Library offering more
than 100 types of Italy’s finest grappa; and
a handsomely designed Piano Lounge.
Trattoria Dopo Teatro and its convenient
location are ideal for enjoying a delicious four-course
pre-theater dinner for $22.50 and a post-theater dessert
and coffee, cappuccino or espresso. In addition, Trattoria
Dopo Teatro serves lunch and dinner daily, and brunch
on Saturday. The restaurant has party rooms available
for corporate events, private parties and elegant
weddings.
